Before I realized science wasn't just a bunch of people in lab coats, I thought I wanted to be a photojournalist and travel the world to share new discoveries with others.

 

I realized I wanted to be making new discoveries, but my desire to share knowledge hasn't gone anywhere, and is only amplified by my own previous misconceptions about science.

 

As I continue my doctorate training I am creating new media to share the complexity and beauty of marine ecology with everyone. In the meantime, I volunteer locally through FUSE to introduce kids to science, and show them that it really is fun.
